Letting Your Pictures Speak for Themselves

“A picture is worth a thousand words” is one of the oldest clichés. If the statement holds true, shouldn’t a series of photos be worth a million words? Maybe, but not necessarily – a few carefully taken photos can convey incredible power and emotion, much more so than hundreds of careless snapshots. Here are a few great tips for composing your next visual masterpiece.

Finishing the Albums of My Dad’s Life

By Carol Beal Smith

This album set represents my father's life. He wrote, “I have been collecting these pictures and placing them in an album, without annotation, for years. When my daughter, Carol, saw them, she wanted to properly preserve them in an album and explain what each photo meant. She did such a great job doing the work. It truly warms my heart, not because she did the work, but because she wanted to. It is my wish that my family, friends, and descendants enjoy these albums, for they tell the story of Who I Am.” It has been two years since his passing…and the task is finally complete!

How FOREVER Helped the Transition of Family Traditions

By Carolyn Carroll

The third week in July is our extended family beach week. My mother- and father-in-law started this family tradition in 1989. Every year, they rented a house in Duck, NC. When we moved to a new beach I created a “Duck scrapbook” to help with the family with this transition.

Trust the Company, Not the Proximity, for your Media Conversion

By Michaela Elliott

Family photos and videos are priceless - handing them over to a stranger to be digitized is scary. To many, even scarier is the idea of putting those precious items in the mail and shipping them to a distant location to be converted.

But the expertise and reputation of the service doing the converting is much more important than its proximity. Denise Cummings, a FOREVER customer, can attest to that.
