Forever is for Any Age
As long as I can remember, my dad’s camera has always been close at hand. My brother and I have tons of photos documenting our childhood and now our adulthood.
I can still remember the smell of the developing chemicals when standing with him in his dark room in the basement. As a kid, it was fun watching him meticulously develop each photo as he dropped the photos in the metal bin, pushed the photo under the chemical solution, and slowly watch the black & white photo appear. I think it was then that the love of photography started rubbing off on me.
Fast forward to the present and to digital photography. As times have changed we’ve had to adapt to those changes and my dad has adapted well. A few years ago he started converting all his slides, negatives, and printed photos. It was a long, slow process. (That was before he was introduced to FOREVER's Media Conversion Services.) It was around then that he also moved from traditional scrapbooking to digital scrapbooking.
When I told him about FOREVER, he didn’t delay in reading about the company and what it offered. He had been using another cloud service to back up his photos.
After reading about the cloud storage FOREVER offered and realizing it is a permanent storage site that will long outlast him, my dad jumped on board - buying an account even before I became an Ambassador.
He also transitioned over to Artisan®, which he says anyone can use. Dad, who will soon be 83 years old, told me “You just tell your customers if I can use it they can use it. Don’t be afraid to just click on the features and see what they do!”
He has made many books in Artisan, documenting our family history. In fact, he always shares his books at family reunions which usually results in orders for more books. Although my clients have never met him, he is an inspiration to them and they like to hear about his latest completed book!
Dad and I love the sharing feature of FOREVER Storage! My dad’s account contains photos from 1945 to the present, all of which now I have access to anytime, anywhere. Our love of taking photos and telling our stories will always be important to us, and my dad would tell you “anyone can preserve their story no matter your age.”
