Ambassador Achievement Trip 2019: St. Lucia

Ambassador Achievement Trip 2019: St. Lucia

One week ago, I took part in what was undoubtedly the most rewarding experience in my career. I joined 6 of my FOREVER Home Office colleagues and 43 high-achieving FOREVER Ambassadors (plus their guests) on an unforgettable journey to beautiful St. Lucia.

Though nearly a week has passed since I returned home, part of me feels as though I am still in the Caribbean sunshine. I am incredibly fortunate to have spent 5 days with a wonderful group of co-workers and passionate FOREVER.com memory-keepers. We discussed the FOREVER business; we enjoyed strawberry daiquiris in the pool; we shared strategies for communicating the FOREVER mission; we snorkeled in the ocean.

On Saturday, February 2, 43 FOREVER Achievers and their guests arrived at Sandals Grande St. Lucian Resort for an all-expenses paid achievement trip. The trip is the biggest annual reward that FOREVER shares with top-selling Ambassadors, and oh is it worth the effort it takes to make it on the trip. We were thrilled that nearly twice as many Ambassadors achieved the trip this year as last year!

Arrival day featured a welcome reception and dinner at one of the many delicious restaurants at the resort. The evening ended with dancing to reggae on the beach!

Sunday began with a FOREVER Business meeting, led by our Founder & CEO, Glen Meakem, which was full of spirited discussions about how we can better spread the word about FOREVER. We heard many insightful suggestions from newer and experienced Ambassadors alike and left the meeting with notebooks full of exciting ideas. We spent the rest of the day lounging by the pool, discussing the morning meeting, and brainstorming additional business strategies. That evening, we celebrated Glen’s birthday (don’t ask me his age)!

Monday was activity day. We all climbed into a catamaran and set off around the island, enjoying gorgeous views and sunshine. When we arrived in Soufrière, we split into groups and set off for our activities.

First, we enjoyed a volcanic mud bath. Then, while some of us rinsed off in a “power shower” waterfall, others learned to make St. Lucian chocolate from scratch. All of us finished the afternoon in Soufrière at a delicious creole restaurant that offered stunning views of the island.

We were told that the volcanic mud would make us look 10 years younger! The jury is still out.

After lunch, we headed back to the catamaran and enjoyed a return cruise to the resort, stopping only for a quick snorkeling excursion on the shore. That evening, we enjoyed dinner and karaoke at the resort.

Tuesday, our final full day, was full of relaxing and mingling. I met Ambassadors who, like me, had never been on a FOREVER Achievement trip before. I also got to know experienced Ambassadors, whose names I’ve seen again and again but have never met in person, and heard their ideas on how to grow our business.

Tuesday evening ended with a truly magical dinner right on the beach, where Glen shared words of farewell and inspiration and we all enjoyed a delicious, traditional meal. When the food was gone, we kicked off our shoes moved onto the dance floor to celebrate our last night together in style!

Wednesday came far too soon, but as I headed home to Pittsburgh, I felt inspired and excited to get back to work. Not only have I received many wonderful, innovative marketing and strategy ideas from Ambassadors that I’m excited to try out, but the trip also reinvigorated my commitment to our mission. Spending time with so many incredible Ambassadors who are passionate about sharing their memory-keeping solution with others has lit a fire under me. Our FOREVER community - or “FOREVER Family” as we call it in the office - is truly one-of-a-kind.

I’m not the only one who feels the strength of our community. Executive Ambassador Madelyn Brownell noted how special FOREVER is: "We have an incredible and unique culture and community. This was the BEST incentive trip I’ve ever been on. The brainstorming, food, activities, gifts, meetings, sharing, singing, parties, beach, resort, especially all of you…it was magical!!!"

Now, after being home for a week, there are two things that I’m absolutely sure about.

  1. Every FOREVER Ambassador can and should achieve this trip. We want as many people as possible on next year’s adventure! If you are a FOREVER Ambassador or are interested in becoming an Ambassador, you can earn this reward. It takes hard work, but everyone has to start somewhere, and you can ABSOLUTELY achieve your dreams. Learn more here.

  2. What FOREVER is doing is important. The world needs us! We’re the only company offering privacy and permanence for your treasured family memories. We will never stop sharing our service and spreading our mission. Permanent ownership and guaranteed protection of your family legacy is the future!
