From the Page to the Print Shop

By Abby Schreiber

There is so much to be said for scrapbooking: it’s creative, it’s tangible, and most of all, it puts all our memories in one place -- a walk down memory lane, if you will. But physical scrapbooks only go so far; as beautiful as they may be, they are fragile. There is often only one copy, which doesn’t do much for sharing your memories OR preserving them.

My FOREVER Story: World's Greatest Uncle

By Arlene Watkins

In 2015, we lost our son to Hodgkin’s Lymphoma after a 5-year battle. While this loss was devastating to all of us, it was especially hard for his niece – my granddaughter. They were extremely close and shared a special bond.

I asked my granddaughter what she wanted for Christmas. Her reply? She said she wanted more time with her Uncle James. Since that was not something I could give her, I decided to make a special scrapbook for her.

Make a Memory, Make a Book

By Abby Schreiber

I can still picture the look on my mom’s face as she opened the first page. Staring back at her was her father’s handwriting, as though he’d signed it himself, his named sprawled across the page in cursive.

FOREVER vs. Legacybox: Who do YOU Trust?

By Glen Meakem

Last week, the television show, Inside Edition, ran an investigative report demonstrating that our competitor, Legacybox, has lost or mishandled old media like films and videos sent to them by their customers for digital conversion. Our mission at FOREVER is to help people to save, organize and share their precious memories now and for many generations into the future.  Family memories – photos, films, videos and documents – are truly precious.

How To: Create a Dream Board

By Alaina Duffy

We all need direction, and that doesn’t appear out of thin air. Without goals, we’re directionless. The first step in knowing where you are is to imagine where you want to go. Dream boards are an exciting, tangible way to bring your goals to life.

Coming Together Through Family Memories

By Veronica Studt

I love FOREVER Conversion services! I was able to take the traditional 12x12 scrapbooks that I have on my bookshelves at home and mail them to FOREVER to have those pages safely converted into digital images. Now, ALL my children and grandchildren will have access to those pages after I’m gone! I’m so grateful.

A Valentine’s Day Gift to Remember

By Craig Bogley

With our family “growing” smaller, I really wanted to create something special for the two most important women in my life: my wife, Linda, and my cousin, Cathy. What better DAY to present the gifts than Valentine’s Day, a day about love? What better WAY to celebrate love than a special memory book that, as you turn each page, shows a precious memory from a cherished friend or family member?

Letting Your Pictures Speak for Themselves

By Matt Gray

“A picture is worth a thousand words” is one of the oldest clichés. If the statement holds true, shouldn’t a series of photos be worth a million words? Maybe, but not necessarily – a few carefully taken photos can convey incredible power and emotion, much more so than hundreds of careless snapshots. Here are a few great tips for composing your next visual masterpiece.

Finishing the Albums of My Dad’s Life

By Carol Beal Smith

This album set represents my father's life. He wrote, “I have been collecting these pictures and placing them in an album, without annotation, for years. When my daughter, Carol, saw them, she wanted to properly preserve them in an album and explain what each photo meant. She did such a great job doing the work. It truly warms my heart, not because she did the work, but because she wanted to. It is my wish that my family, friends, and descendants enjoy these albums, for they tell the story of Who I Am.” It has been two years since his passing…and the task is finally complete!
